Description

A pair of villas dating to the early 1830s. They are located on Edward Street and also include number 8 Castle Street. The construction is stucco over masonry, with an asbestos slate hipped roof, a stuccoed central axial chimney, and cast-iron ogee gutters. The buildings have a double-depth plan, with the right-hand villa being deeper. They are two storeys high over a basement, with a four-window garden front. This front is articulated by giant fluted pilasters, and features keyed flat arches over original hornless sash windows with marginal panes. Entrances are located on the end elevations. The interior has not been inspected, but is likely to be of architectural interest.
