Description

Pebbles is a late 18th-century terraced cottage situated on the north side of The Warren, near Polperro. The cottage is constructed of rendered and painted stone rubble with a slate roof and gable ends, featuring large stone rubble chimney stacks on the gable ends. It was originally constructed as a one-room-plan cottage within a terrace, with the entrance originally positioned on the left side. The cottage is built into the hillside on solid rock, and has a two-window front overlooking the harbour. The windows are replacements from the 20th century, comprising a stone rubble porch with a slate lean-to roof and a partly glazed stable-type door at ground floor level, along with a two-light casement to the right. Above this are two two-light casements on both the first and second floor openings. The interior remains uninspected. The cottage is included on the list for its group value.
