Description
The cart shelter and attached pigsties, located approximately 30 meters northwest of Landue Barton, date from the early 19th century and have seen minor later alterations. They are constructed from roughly coursed slate-stone and feature three granite posts supporting the cart shelter, which has a hipped slate roof. The structure encloses the south side of the farmyard, consisting of five bays, with two-door pigsties set back to the left. Inside, the cart shelter has a collar truss roof, with principal rafters extending forward and resting on granite posts and a stone dividing wall between the two right bays. This building is part of a well-preserved farmyard group that was formerly associated with Landue Barton, and it is included for its group value.
