Description

Channel View and the adjoining cottage on the left are two cottages dating from the early 19th century, possibly with earlier origins. They are constructed from slate-stone rubble and topped with a slate roof featuring gable ends, with the right-hand range having a slightly higher roof. The left cottage has a rendered gable end stack and an axial stack with a 20th-century brick shaft near the center.

The original layout of the cottages is uncertain, but they likely represent a remodelling of an earlier building. The left cottage has an entrance on the right and is heated by a fireplace located on the left gable end wall. The layout of the right cottage is not clearly defined.

The cottages are two storeys high and have an asymmetrical three-window front. On the ground floor, there are two late 19th-century or early 20th-century four-pane sash windows, with a 19th-century four-panel door in between and a 20th-century plank door to the right. Both cottages feature porches made of large slate slabs. On the first floor, there are three late 19th-century or early 20th-century four-pane sash windows. The interior is not accessible for viewing.
