Description

TREVALGA TREVALGA SX 09 SE 1/240 Churchtown Farmhouse and garden walls to front GV II Farmhouse and garden walls. Circa mid C19. Slate stone rubble. Dressed greenstone arches to openings on front elevation and brick arches to openings on rear. Slate roof with gable ends and brick end stacks. Plan: Double depth plan with central entrance, probably with wide central through passage. 2 reception rooms on front heated by end stacks and 2 service rooms to rear. The position of the stair is uncertain, possibly in a wide through passage. 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3 window front; 12-pane hornless sash windows with dressed greenstone segmental arches and C20 glazed door in centre. Rear elevation with brick segmental arches to openings. Interior not accessible. Stone rubble walls enclose garden to front of farmhouse. Churchtown Farmhouse stands to the north west of Church of St Petroc (qv) in the unspoilt village of Trevalga. It joins the higher side of Trevalga Farmhouse (qv).
