Description

SENNEN SW 32 NE 4/320 Henhouse at approximately 30 metres - north of Penrose Farmhouse GV II Round building last used as a hen house. Probably C17, remodelled as a hen house in the C19. Granite moorstone rubble walls. Corrugated iron monopitched roof. Plan: Approximately round on plan, externally (adjoining 3 hedges) with rectangular- on-plan internal cell with 6 nesting boxes built into the walls. Exterior: Single storey. Only openings are a doorway and a small window on its right, both on the east side. There is a C17 granite monolithic gate-pier, on the south side, with 4 mortices for former loose-barred gate. Interior: Simple rubble walled interior with 6 nesting boxes (south and west walls).
