Description
The Sandercock monument is a headstone located in the churchyard about 3 metres west of the tower of the Church of St Meubred in Cardinham. It dates from the 18th century and is made of slate. The headstone features a double nowy head with an incised border and displays a primitive script that includes a valedictory quatrain dedicated to William Sandercock, who died in 1786, and his wife Mary, also deceased in 1786.
