Description

Treslea Cross is a probably pre-Conquest granite cross located in Cardinham. It stands about 1.5 metres high and features a wheelhead with four indentations that create a primitive saltire cross shape. The shaft is a roughly hewn chamfered monolith, and there are lugs on the sides of the wheelhead. A raised carved ridge runs down the centre of the shaft, and the rear of the cross is similar to the front. It is designated as an ancient monument, number 198.
