Description

The Stevens monument is a headstone located in the churchyard, about one metre east of the chancel of the Church of St Meubred. It dates from the 18th century and is made of slate. The headstone features a nowy top with an incised border, a cherub with wings at the top, and symbols including an hourglass, a pierced heart, and crossed bones below the inscription. It commemorates John Stevens and is dated 1789.
