Description
The Anna Sandercock headstone, located about 7 metres east-south-east of the south aisle of the Church of St Paternus, is a Grade II listed headstone dating from 1872. It is made of slate and features a shouldered round head. The front of the headstone has an inscription carved in upper and lower case letters, which includes serifs and ornate initial letters, along with a verse below. The stone is signed by H Hender at its base. The inscription notes that Anna Sandercock died in her fifth year.
