Description
This is a headstone dating from 1750, located 16 metres north of the west tower of the Church of St Paternus in North Petherwin. It commemorates Samuel Brown, who died in 1750. The headstone is made of slate and features a nowy-shaped head, decorated with an incised angel's head. The inscription includes both upper and lower case lettering with serifs, along with a verse.
