Description
This is a headstone dating from 1756, located 6 metres east of the southeast corner of the chancel of the Church of St Paternus in North Petherwin. It commemorates Richard Hawke of Bodgate, who died in 1756. The headstone is made of slate and features a nowy-shaped head decorated with an angel's head. It includes upper and lower case lettering with serifs. The headstone has been re-erected.
