Description

No. 17 Fore Street is a town house with a later shop, featuring an early 19th-century frontage that is attached to an 18th-century or earlier building. The exterior is finished in stucco over rubble, topped with a steep bitumen-grouted rag slate roof that is concealed behind a parapet with a moulded wooden cornice. The building has a single-depth plan with a rear extension and stands three storeys tall, displaying a two-window range. The windows are 20th-century twelve-pane horned sashes, and there is a 20th-century shop front. The interior has not been inspected.
