Description
No. 4 Exeter Street is a town house with later shops, dating from the early 19th century. The building features a stucco front on a rubble base and has a fairly steep rag slate roof with brick end stacks. It has a shallow-depth plan and consists of two storeys with a three-window range. The first floor retains original 16-pane hornless sash windows, and there is an original central six-panel door topped with a diamond-patterned overlight. The window on the left has been converted into a doorway. To the right of the doorway is an early 20th-century shop front, which includes end pilasters, arched consoles, and a fascia with a moulded cornice, while the doorway is recessed on the left. The interior has not been inspected.
