Description
The Launceston Arms Public House is an 18th-century building located on Exeter Street in Launceston. It features a rendered exterior that replaces the original stucco on rubble, topped by a steep moss-covered slate roof that is hipped on the right side. There is a brick stack on the left and projecting front eaves. The building has a fairly deep plan with rear extensions and stands three storeys over a basement. The front is symmetrical with three windows. The second floor has blind squat windows, while the first floor has a blind central window pane; the rest of the windows are 20th-century sixteen horned sashes. A central broad chamfered doorway, which has a pair of 20th-century doors, is approached by a short flight of granite steps. There is also a shuttered basement opening that breaks the plinth on the left side. The interior has not been inspected.
