Description
Claremont House is a town house with a shop, built in the early to mid 19th century. The exterior features render that has replaced stucco on a rubble base, with slate hanging on the visible returns. It has a hipped rag slate roof with projecting eaves and cast-iron ogee gutters. The building has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys high, with a two-window range. The original hornless sash windows with glazing bars are present on the upper floors. There is a mid 19th century pilastered doorway on the left side of the ground floor and a 12-pane shop window in a similar surround on the right, along with a 20th century pair of doors. The interior has not been inspected.
