Description

ST ERTH SW 53 SE 7/190 Barn immediately south of Gear and - Kerrow Farmhouse GV II Granaries or fodder stores over shippons. Circa late C18 and circa early C19. Killas rubble walls with some granite dressings. Oak lintels (reused ships timbers) over openings to the older part, right. Plan: Long rectangular plan built in 2 phases. Older part on the right has doorway towards the left with loading/winnowing doorway over. Later barn has central loading winnowing doorway and ground floor doorways towards left and right. Exterior: 2-storeys. Overall 4 window east south east front. Older barn on the right has an asymmetrical front with doorway towards left with loading doorway over. 3 old hopper windows to ground floor, 2 C19 2-light shuttered windows to first floor. Later barn has symmetrical front with windows over the doorways towards left and right and small blocked window opening under the central loading doorway. Ledged doors, original shutters to windows. Interior: Not inspected.
