Description

This is a barn built around the early 19th century, located approximately 100 metres east of Lower Tregarne Farmhouse. It features walls made of killas rubble and oak lintels, topped with a grouted scantle slate hipped roof. The barn has a rectangular shape, likely designed as a shippon at the rear, with a granary or fodder store above. It includes central opposing loading and winnowing doorways.

The exterior is two storeys high and nearly symmetrical, with a two-window west front. There is an approximately central doorway with a granite lintel and a loading doorway above it. The barn has old ledged doors and original two-light casement windows, some of which contain small panes. The first-floor windows at the front retain their original shutters. The interior has not been inspected.
