Description
The outbuilding located north-east of Erisey Manor House is a Grade II listed structure, dating from the 18th century. Originally used as stables, it features a fine serpentine ashlar front, while the remaining walls are constructed of stone rubble. The building has a slate roof with hipped gabled ends and clay ridge tiles, topped with a central clay finial.
It has a rectangular deep plan, with a rubble stone extension under a sloping slate roof on the left-hand gable end. The outbuilding is two storeys high and has a symmetrical plinth. The central wide round arched opening is blocked at the top and features a rectangular planked door. On the far right and left, there are two tall, narrow rectangular openings, partly glazed, with two similar openings that are now blocked, all situated between a moulded string course.
On the first floor, there are two square openings with timber shutters located above the ground floor windows, along with a central wide opening, also with timber shutters. In the right-hand gabled end, there is a central first-floor opening, which shows evidence of blocked openings on the ground floor.
