Description

This is a milestone located in front of Ruby Terrace in Porkellis, dating from around the mid-19th century. It is made of dressed granite and has a triangular head, with worn edges. The milestone stands approximately 0.94 meters high and about 0.33 meters wide. It is painted white, and there is an incised inscription on the front, highlighted in black paint, which reads: HELSTON 5, CARN MENELLIS 1½, REDRUTH 5.
