Description

SW 63 SE WENDRON PORKELLIS

4/394 Porkellis Bridge - II

Road bridge over stream. Circa early C19. Granite rubble with roughly-hewn granite monoliths. Iron handrail and some iron stanchions. 2-span bridge with semi-circular-on-plan cutwater upstream. Simple lintelled construction. There is no parapet but there are iron railings at either side of the bridge set between granite bollards or threaded through iron stachions.
