Description

Porkellis Bridge is a road bridge over a stream, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from granite rubble and features roughly-hewn granite monoliths. The bridge has an iron handrail and some iron stanchions. It consists of two spans and includes a semi-circular cutwater on the upstream side. The construction is simple with lintels, and while there is no parapet, iron railings are present on either side of the bridge, set between granite bollards or threaded through iron stanchions.
