Description
This is a U-shaped range of farm buildings located approximately 25 meters southeast of Burraton Farmhouse, dating from the mid-19th century. The buildings may incorporate earlier materials, including a medieval window-head. The structure is built from roughly coursed slate-stone, with granite and quartzite boulders used in the east range. The south range features open shelter-sheds, which have been infilled with corrugated iron and concrete blocks, supported by granite posts. The roof is made of asbestos sheets. The layout forms a U-shape around a farmyard, and the buildings are one storey high. The east range includes rectangular ventilation slits and a plank door positioned at the far right where it meets the south range. A reused 14th-century window-head with paired trefoil-headed lights is located under an ogee arch to the left. The interior features 19th-century roofs. This building is included for its group value.
