Description

This is a U-shaped range of farm buildings located immediately to the north of Blegberry Farmhouse. The buildings date mainly from the early 19th century, with one likely dating back to the 17th century. The structure features mainly random rubble walls, while the older building has coursed square stone rubble walls. The roofs are gable-ended and made of corrugated asbestos and slate, with some sections grouted.

The layout consists of three sides forming a yard on the north, east, and west. This includes animal houses and a cart shed at the end of the western range. Projecting to the west is a long range divided into two parts; the right-hand section is the 17th-century building, while the left has a granary situated above a two-bay cart shed.

The buildings are primarily one storey, except for the most westerly left-hand building. The shorter wing on the left features a cart entrance towards the end and two doorways to its right. The central range has two doorways with a window between them, and the right-hand wing includes three doorways with windows on either side. The westerly range, which projects from the cart shed, has an older section on the right with a doorway in its end wall, a blocked opening, and a slit window above. Its front wall contains two small windows and a blocked doorway to the right, along with stone steps against its end wall and two cart shed entrances at the rear. Most openings, except for those in the 17th-century building, have flat or cambered stone arches above. The interior has not been inspected.
