Description

WITHIEL SX 96 NE 3/143 Garden wall and gateway attached to - front of Bosneives Farmhouse

GV II

Garden wall and gateway. Probably early C19. Slatestone and granite rubble with wooden gate. The wall is attached to the front of the farmhouse, with a doorway adjoining the farmhouse ; the wall is about 3 metres high and about 10 metres long, brought forward from the farmhouse and screening it from the farmyard. There is a low front range of wall, stepped, with slate coping and granite piers at intervals with wooden rails ; about 25 metres long. At the right end there is a single gateway with wooden gate with swept rails. The wall extends a further 10 metres to right at a height of about 2 metres.
