Description
The gate-piers, gate, and walls to the farmyard at Bosvathick Farm date from the late 19th century. The two gate-piers at the northeast entrance to the farmyard are made of granite monoliths with pointed heads. The gate itself is wrought iron with diagonal bracing. The flanking walls are constructed from granite rubble and connect to the wash-horse on the left and the piggery on the right. This includes the granite rubble wall on the southeast side of the yard, which separates the farmyard from the garden of the farmhouse. This structure is part of a remarkably complete and unaltered late 19th-century farmstead built on the small Bosvathick estate.
