Description

This is an early to mid-19th century shop and house, now a private residence, located on Middle Street in Port Isaac. The building is constructed of rendered and painted stone rubble, with an asbestos slate roof and gable ends. It has a double-depth plan which has been altered, retaining the original shop front on the front range and with living accommodation to the rear. The front facade is regular, featuring two windows wide. The ground floor has an original 19th-century shop front, with a 4-pane hornless sash window to the left, a 19th-century 4-panel door, and two 9-pane casement windows to the right. The first floor has two 4-pane sash windows. The interior of the building has not been inspected. The exterior of the building remains largely unaltered.
