Description
Little Treburtle is a farmhouse with probable origins in the 17th century. It is constructed of rendered stone rubble, with a brick wall on the left gable end. The roof is made of corrugated asbestos on the right gable ends and rag slate on the left. There is a stone rubble end stack on the right and an axial stack to the left of center. The original layout of the house is uncertain, but it is of single depth with a three-room plan. The right room is heated by an end stack, while the central and left rooms seem to share the axial stack. A stair turret is located at the rear of the central room.
The exterior features two storeys and an asymmetrical four-window front, with the left range set slightly back. A 20th-century entrance porch on the right partially obscures the entrances to the central and right rooms. The openings have 19th-century stuccoed hoodmoulds. There is a 20th-century three-light window to the left, and on the first floor, there is a three-light window to the left, along with a one-light and two two-light windows to the right. The interior is not accessible.
