Description

The Little Gallery and Coffee Shop is a pair of attached houses with a shop on the ground floor, dating from around the mid-19th century, with a few later alterations. The building features painted brick and stone at the ground floor, with painted brick above, and has a slate roof with gable ends.

The structure is three storeys high and has a symmetrical design with a 1:3:1 bay arrangement, where the central three bays are slightly projected forward. The ground floor includes a central double shop front with a painted chamfered stone stall riser, plate-glass windows, and a central 20th-century glazed door. On either side, there are 20th-century doors with overlights and rusticated pilasters. A cornice runs across the entire front of the building.

On the first floor, there are three central round-arched windows, with the central window being blind and the outer windows featuring margin-glazed sashes set in rusticated surrounds, complete with keystones and string courses at the impost level. The outer bays have narrower round-arched margin-glazed sashes in rusticated surrounds. A band course is located above this level. The second floor also has three central windows, with the centre window blind and the outer ones featuring 20th-century glazing in eared architraves, including a four-pane sash on the right and a 20th-century window on the left. The interior has not been inspected.
