ST COLUMB MAJOR BANK STREET (west side), SW 9063-9163 St Columb Major 17/185 Nos. 2 and 2a (The Little Gallery - and Coffee Shop) GV II

Pair of attached houses with shop at ground floor. Circa mid C19, with few later alterations. Painted brick and stone at ground floor; painted brick above. Slate roof with gable ends. Plan: Pair of attached houses, each of double depth plan. The entrances are at the outer end of the front, with shop to centre. Exterior: 3 storeys, symmetrical 1:3:1-bays with the centre 3 bays broken forward. Ground floor has central double shop front with painted chamfered stone stall riser, plate-glass windows and central C20 glazed door. To right and left a C20 door with overlight and rusticated pilasters to each side. Cornice over the whole front. First floor has 3 central round-arched windows, the central window blind, the outer windows with margin-glazed sashes in rusticated surrounds with keystones and string courses at impost level. The outer bays have narrower round-arched margin-glazed sash in rusticated surround. Band course above. The second floor has 3 central windows, the centre window blind, the outer ones with C20 glazing, in eared architraves. 4-pane sash to right and C20 window to left. Interior: Not inspected.
