Description

This listing describes a pair of gate piers with an adjoining wall located approximately 500 metres north of Trobus Farmhouse. The structures date from the late 17th century or 18th century. The gate piers are made of small granite monolithic posts that are square with chamfered corners. They feature cavetto pyramidal caps topped with ball finials. It is noted that the capstone and finial of the west pier have fallen. The flanking quadrant wall next to the east pier is constructed from stone rubble and has granite coping.
