Description

There are two chest tombs located ten yards south of the tower of Ladock Church. The south tomb commemorates Mary Miners, who died in 1778, and John Miners, who died in 1815. The north tomb is for William Miners, who died in 1813, and Elizabeth Miners, who died in 1832. Both tombs have a rectangular shape and feature granite plinths with cavetto reversa moulding. The sides are made of granite ashlar in three courses, and they have a cavetto moulded cornice beneath flat granite lids. The lids include inset slate slabs that are incised with English lettering.
