Description
Cobblers is a house with a shop, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of shale rubble with granite quoins and dressings, topped by a hipped scantle slate roof featuring brick chimneys on the side walls. The building is two rooms deep, with a wing at the back on the left and a lean-to shop extension on the right. The symmetrical front has two storeys and two windows. On the ground floor, large windows flank a six-panel door, which is accompanied by 20-paned fixed lights. The door has a similar window in the lean-to. There are iron spikes on the left window sill. The first floor features a 16-paned sash window without horns on the left and a 12-paned top-opening replacement window on the right. All openings in the main part of the building are slightly arched with granite voussoirs.
