Description
This description is for a pair of squared granite gate piers located approximately 75 metres south west of Trethurffe, dating from the 18th century. The gate piers are made of monolithic posts that are chamfered and feature fielded and shouldered semi-circular arched panels with spandrels on three sides near the top. They have cavetto moulded cornices beneath caps, which are adorned with curved corner acroteria and low pitched pyramids topped with hall finials.
