Description

Treworyan Farmhouse is a late 18th or early 19th century farmhouse. It is constructed of shale rubble with slate hanging to the front, and has a hipped scantle slate roof with brick chimneys set over the side walls. The building follows a three-room, double-depth plan. The front elevation displays two storeys and four windows, with diamond-pattern slate hanging between the first-floor windows and towards the ends. The ground floor windows are taller and feature four-paned sashes, with original 16-paned sashes reused in outbuildings. A four-panel door, with glazed upper panels, is positioned off-centre to the left, between the second and right windows. The doorcase dates to the early 19th century. A moulded eaves cornice runs along the top. Inside, features include an Adam-style chimney piece and the original pegged roof structure.
