Description

This is a tombchest located 15 metres east of the south aisle of the Church of St Ida, built in 1827 in memory of the wife of Thomas Rowe, a musician who died that same year. The tombchest is made of brick and features a slate lid. The lid is decorated with a carved marginal band of intertwined foliage, while the inner panel displays a draped urn on a plinth. The inscription is carved across the plinth.
