Description
The gates and gate piers at the north entrance to the churchyard of the Church of St Ida were built around 1870, likely at the same time as the church's restoration by J.P. St Aubyn. The gate piers are made of stone rubble and are square in shape, supporting original wrought-iron gates. These gates are of a kissing-gate type, similar to those found at the Church of St Petroc in Padstow. The stiles of the gates are decorated with spear motifs, and the main verticals feature cast-iron finials.
