Description

The Vicarage is a house dating from around the middle of the 19th century. It is constructed of rendered and stuccoed stone rubble, with a concrete tiled roof and hipped ends. The building has axial and side lateral chimney stacks with brick shafts.

The house follows a double-depth plan, with the main entrance positioned to the left of the centre. This is flanked by a principal room to the left and a study to the right. A further principal room juts out slightly to the far right, and service rooms are located across the rear of the building.

The front of the house has a regular three-bay facade, with the right-hand bay set slightly forward. The entrance features a 19th-century panelled door and original fanlight, set within a stuccoed and rendered round-arched porch with incised pilasters and a moulded cornice. Flanking the entrance are two tall, horned 12-pane sashes, with a similar sash to the far right. The first floor has two blind windows to the left, above the door, and horned 19th-century 12-pane sashes to the right and far right. The garden front on the left side has two 19th-century 12-pane sashes. The interior is not accessible.
