Description

This is a chest tomb located about 17 meters southwest of the tower of the Church of St. Ida. It dates from around the mid-19th century, but features a lid from the 18th century. The tomb is constructed of brick and has stone inscription panels set into the sides and the east end. The lid is made of granite and has a scratch-moulded border with an inscription that honors George Good, who died in 1747. The inscription panels on the sides and east end of the chest commemorate members of the Lake family, who died in 1856, 1898, and 1838.
