Description

Alverne Hill is an early 19th-century house constructed of granite ashlar. The building features plain relief architraves that connect with a string course and quoins. It has two storeys and a semi-basement, with three sash windows that include glazing bars. A terrace runs along the front, with two flights of steps leading down to the garden on either side of a large elliptical arch that frames a semi-basement window. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, and the eaves soffit is bracketed. At the rear, there is a slate-hung semi-circular staircase bay.
