Description
Alverton Terrace, built in the mid-19th century, consists of two adjoining properties, Nos 11 and 12, located on the north side of Alverton Road in Penzance. The buildings are stuccoed, with the ground floor featuring granite ashlar and rebated horizontal joints. They have granite quoins and a string course, topped by a slate hipped roof with an eaves soffit. The terrace stands three storeys high and has four windows set in moulded architraves, with the two central windows paired. The first floor includes cornices and segmental pediments above the two central windows. Notably, the ground floor of No 12 has been altered; it is partly roughcast and has a wide glazed doorway. These buildings are included for their group value, along with Nos 7 to 14 and Stanley House.
