Description
LADOCK SW 85 SE 1/21 Tregear (north) - GV II
Farmhouse. C18 or earlier. Rendered cob with asbestos slate roof, formerly thatched, with brick gable chimneys. 2 roomed plan with stair turret to right encased in full length outshut to rear. External cob chimney breasts. 2 storey, 3 windows. Door with C20 glazed porch is off centre to left with window over. Windows are 4-paned sashes but 12-paned casement survives in first floor of outshut. There is a semi- circular recess in corner at back of left room with another recess over in first floor of outshut. Recess to right of fireplace in larger lower end to right. Original stair turret is now cupboard, open beamed ceiling at this end. C18 2-panelled doors with HL hinges survive on ground and first floors with post and panelled partition to first floor. Foundations of house are on bedrock. Well by garden gate with iron pump in garden.
