Description
Lower Trelassick is a farmhouse built in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from shale rubble with granite quoins and dressings, topped with a Delabole slate roof and featuring brick gable chimneys. The building is symmetrical, two rooms deep, and has a lean-to porch at the rear. It stands two stories high and has three windows. The openings are slightly arched and have granite voussoirs. The central door consists of six flush beaded panels. The windows are 16-paned sashes without horns, while the rear features a taller 12-paned window with horns. Inside, there is an open-welled staircase with turned newel posts that have finials and pendants under the landings, along with plain square balusters. A granite flagged path runs along the front of the farmhouse.
