Description
Trelassick Cottage is a small house dating from the early 19th century. It is built of shale rubble with granite quoins and dressings, topped with a rag slate hipped roof and featuring brick chimneys at each end. The entrance is off center to the left, and the house is two storeys high with three windows. The windows have slightly arched openings with granite voussoirs and projecting keystones, and they are fitted with 12-paned sashes that do not have horns. There is a taller window at the rear that provides light to the staircase. Inside, there is a dogleg stair that is accessed from a passage between the front rooms. The original back door leads from the back kitchen to the right of the stair.
