Description

Trendeal Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from shale rubble with granite quoins and dressings, topped with an asbestos slate roof and featuring brick gable chimneys. The building is two rooms wide and deep, with a small single-storey gabled wing on the left rear above the back door. It stands two storeys high and has three windows, with a central door that includes a glazed porch. The openings are slightly arched and feature granite voussoirs and projecting stepped keystones. All windows are 16-paned sashes without horns, except for a 12-paned window in the central stair area on the mid-floor at the rear. There is an external staged chimney breast on the left, which has a quadrant breast over a projection at the front, also with a slate roof. The back kitchen has a flue in the same chimney breast but with a separate chimney. The interior has not been inspected, but the front left room includes window shutters.
