The Pottery Shop

The Pottery Shop is a shop with domestic accommodation above, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rendered and painted stone rubble and features a slate roof with gable ends, including a brick stack on the right-hand gable end. The building has a single depth plan, with the shop located on the left and an entrance on the right leading to the first and second floor domestic accommodation, which likely consists of two rooms on each floor.

The front of the building is three storeys high and has a regular two-window arrangement. The ground floor includes a 20th-century glazed shop door on the left, a 20th-century bowed shop window in the center, and a 20th-century glazed door on the right leading to the upper accommodation. These elements are all situated beneath a slated canopy supported by wooden brackets. The first and second floors feature two 20th-century two-light casements with glazing bars. The interior of the ground floor has been altered, while the upper floors have not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
