LANSALLOS LANSALLOS STREET, (north side), SX 2050-2150 Polperro 6/195 Jews House - GV II

House. Probably C17. Rendered and painted stone rubble with cement-washed rag slate roof with hipped ends. Early crested ridge tile on porch. Painted brick front lateral chimney stack serving accommodation on first floor. 2-room plan on first floor with external steps to end entrance porch. Ground floor store with single room on either side of central through passage which leads to small courtyard which is enclosed by adjoining building Shalom (qv) and Pendennis (qv) and later shop premises. 2 storey 2-window range to front elevation. Ground floor with brick segmental arched passage entrance directly beneath front lateral chimney stack. Stone rubble flight of steps at left-hand end with renewed parapet leads up on left to small porch beneath hipped rag slate roof. C20 2-light casement in front wall of porch with part glazed entrance door. 2-light casement to right of front lateral chimney stack beneath raking roof dormer. Interior ground floor with passage through to courtyard with chamfered ceiling beams. Entrance to store on right. First floor with interior modernised. Especially picturesque elevations.
