Description
The Jacka tomb, located approximately 12 metres east of the south aisle of the Church of St Erth, is a chest tomb with an attached headstone dating from the 18th century. It commemorates Thomas Jacka, who died in 1796 at the age of 62; Elizabeth Jacka, who died in 1795 at the age of 63; and Joseph, the son of Will and Margaret, who died in 1799 at just 8 months old. The tomb is made of granite ashlar and features a plinth and a cambered granite lid, with a rectangular shape. At the west end, there is a segmentally-headed incised slate slab.
