Description

ST LEVAN ROSKESTAL SW 32 SE 7/207 Barn and adjoining outbuilding at - approximately 40 metres north-north east of Roskestal Farmhouse GV II Barn and adjoining outbuilding. Circa early C19 barn, late C19 or early C20 outbuilding. Faced coursed granite (almost ashlar) to barn, otherwise granite rubble and roughly dressed granite. Scantle slate roofs. Half-hipped roof over barn. Plan: Overall L-shaped plan. Rectangular barn has threshing floor with first floor opposing loading/winnowing doorway right of middle, later lean-to at rear of barn and there is a long single storey probably shippon adjoining on the right of the barn and projecting at the front. Exterior: 2 storey (barn). Unaltered elevations with original openings. Old ventilated ledged door to barn, windows have C20 sheeting possibly over old frame. East-south-east front of barn has doorway right of middle with loading doorway over. Small windows at left and right. Small later first floor window on right is above original blocked ventilator. Interior not inspected.
