Description

The RNLI collection box is a square cast iron structure, possibly dating from the inter-war period, and stands approximately 1 meter tall. It features a mounded plinth at the base and has decorative round-headed panels on each side. The south-facing side includes a door with a keyhole for accessing the contents. The box has angled corners and is topped with a moulded octagonal cap that has a central dome on an octagonal plinth. It is painted in the colours of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and is positioned on a granite slab next to a rubble stone wall.
