Description
This building is a barn and adjoining cartshed located approximately 15 meters north of Trendreennen Farmhouse. It is likely a remodelled structure that was originally a house, probably dating partly from the 17th century but mostly from the early 19th century. The barn is constructed of granite rubble with granite dressings, which include some reused 17th-century chamfered granite masonry. It features grouted scantle slate roofs with gable ends.
The barn has a rectangular plan and incorporates a very thick front wall from an earlier building. It likely has central opposing loading and winnowing doorways, with a rear doorway that may be approached by a flight of stone steps, although the rear was not inspected. To the right of the barn is a later cartshed extension.
The exterior of the barn is two storeys high, while the cartshed is single storey. The barn's southwest front has two windows, with a central first-floor loading doorway flanked by two small windows. There is a doorway towards the right on the ground floor, accompanied by a small window on its right and a similar window towards the left. The cartshed features a wide partly blocked central doorway and a wide doorway on the left. The interior was not inspected.
