Description

Ivey Farmhouse is a 18th-century farmhouse located in St Levan. The front is made of granite ashlar, while the rest of the building is constructed from dressed granite rubble. It features a wheat reed thatched roof that slopes down at the rear. There is an original dressed granite chimney on the gable end and a 20th-century rebuilt chimney on the rear wall of the left extension.

The farmhouse has a 1½ rooms deep plan, with two rooms at the front likely serving as a hall and kitchen on the right and a parlour on the left, flanking an entrance hall that leads to the staircase situated between two shallower service rooms at the back. To the left, there is a later service wing.

The exterior is two storeys high and nearly symmetrical, with a three-window southwest front. The doorway is located to the left of the middle, central to the window arrangement. There is a 20th-century gable-ended porch and 20th-century four-pane, two-light casements fitted into the original 18th-century openings. The right-hand gable end and the rear wall still have older windows in their original openings. The interior has not been inspected.
